Thank you for visiting!  Jonathan’s is a casual fine dining restaurant featuring fresh fish, seafood, hand cut steaks and much more. We have a large small plate selection and also many diverse entrée selections to suit the most discriminating palate. If you like wine, you have come to the right place.  Enjoy a glass to complement your meal, or purchase a bottle to take home.  We offer a large selection of wines from all areas of the west coast, as well as international varieties…all at much more reasonable prices than you can get anywhere.

You’ll find us in beautiful historic downtown Delavan, Wisconsin at 116 Walworth Avenue. At one point, the building was set to be condemned, but with the vision of Debra Alder and her husband Jeff Scherer, they transformed it into one of the most enticing restaurant spaces in the area. Brick walls adorn 3 rooms, consisting of a retail wine and cheese tasting area, a large granite bar and another large room for fine dining. Our main dining room will be available for lunch to parties or business meetings of 20 – 60 guests.

Our philosophy is come as you are, and be catered to your every culinary desire. We feature local organic farm produce when available along with locally sourced fresh lamb from Delavan’s very own Pinn Oaks Farm. You can plan on the freshest fish and seafood, which is flown in 3 times per week to ensure the highest quality and freshness. When it comes to steaks, we select USDA choice or higher-grade Angus midwestern beef and then cut all our steaks in house to meet the highest standards possible.

Jonathan believes in offering elegantly presented plates that are both delicious and also affordable. We price structure our menu under the big city steak and seafood houses to give even the budget minded customers the ability to experience fine dining without breaking the bank.

Jonathan’s has a fabulous Friday night fish fry with both baked and beer battered cod, along with other fish and seafood delicacies.  Of course, we do offer delicious steak, vegetarian, and other options as well.  On Saturday nights, we offer our delicious Prime Rib.

Chef Jonathan has been in the restaurant industry working in various country clubs, golf courses, yacht clubs and fine dining restaurants since he was 13 years old in the late 70s.  This is his first stand-alone venture and with your support it will be a long-lasting dining destination for Delavan WI.
